The Humans are Dead

Whether you are excited or scared about the idea of robots, the truth is inevitable; they are coming. In the wake of this social revolution, we gathered a few fun facts about robots.

1. Robots have made some big strides in their physical appearance over the past few years. They have morphed from looking like R2D2 to Angelina Jolie. Naturally, with this evolution, robots have started to become the object of sexual desire. Some “scientists” are even predicting robot human marriages in 2050. Makes you wonder what the kids will look like.

2. Robots have also begun to take over human jobs. In 2007, we saw receptionists, janitors and disaster relief robots outperform their flesh-bearing counterparts. We already have a terminator for a governor; so what’s next, a robot president?

3. You can kill a killer bee, but what about a killer bee robot? Israel is developing robotic insects to cross enemy lines as both spy and assassin. They will be used to gather top-secret information and inject lethal poison in unassuming targets.

4. Sometimes, unrealistic action movies can become a reality. The U.S. Military is developing a bionic warrior not unlike the Terminator. This robo-soldier will be outfitted with a “powerful exoskeleton, a self-camouflaging outer layer that adapts to changing environments and a helmet that translates a soldier’s voice into any foreign language”—and also the ability to destroy the human race.
